39 Projects Compete for Residents’ Votes

The verification process for projects submitted to this year’s Civic Budget of Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski has been completed, with 39 out of 41 proposals qualifying for the public vote. The total value of all submitted ideas exceeded PLN 8.5 million, while PLN 1,444,444 has been allocated for the implementation of the winning projects. The approved proposals range from smaller initiatives, such as road markings designed to improve the safety of routes to school, to larger projects, including the modernisation of the pond in Częstocice. Voting will take place from 20 August to 15 September 2026, giving residents the opportunity to decide which ideas will be implemented within the available budget. Interest in the Civic Budget remains high – last year, residents cast 9,736 votes, choosing from 37 projects. This year’s edition once again demonstrates that the Civic Budget is an important tool for public participation, allowing residents to have a direct impact on the development and functioning of their city.
