The new edition of the Civic Budget has been announced

The new edition of the Civic Budget was announced by Vice Mayor of the City of Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski Artur Łakomiec during a press conference, at which a record amount of money was proposed for the project a hefty sum of PLN 1,111,111.00. In the previous edition, 38 ideas were submitted, of which 34 passed formal and substantive verification. In the voting alone, 6162 people participated in the first edition of the program. Four projects won: construction of brine graduation towers on the Ogrody and Stawki estates, development of the area around the pond in Częstocice, construction of a traffic town on the Koszary estate, and a series of cultural events on the Kolonia Robotnicza estate.

Tomasz Gębka, Deputy Head of the Department of Planning and Development of the City Hall of Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski was appointed coordinator of the Civic Budget.

A Civic Budget Election Committee has also been established, which will oversee the proper conduct of voting for projects to be implemented as part of the civic budget.

The ordinance signed at the press conference announced a schedule for the next steps of the civic budget:

by 31 March 2024 — announcing information about the schedule of public consultations of the civic budget and conduct an information and promotional campaign for the civic budget.

1 April 2024 – 19 May 2024 — deadline for applicants to submit projects for implementation under the civic budget.

20 May 2024 – 16 August 2024 — project verification consisting of formal, substantive and technical evaluation. Making public the results of project evaluation with justification. Consideration by the Panel of appeals against negative evaluation of projects. Conducting a random drawing of projects, which will determine the order of projects on the voting lists.

23 August 2024 – 15 September 2023 — vote on projects submitted for implementation under the civic budget.
