New Schedule for the Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski Citizens’ Budget 2026
The Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski Citizens’ Budget (BOOŚ) is an initiative that allows residents to decide how a portion of the city’s budget is allocated. As Mayor Artur Łakomiec emphasizes, the growing interest in this program has led to a gradual increase in the funding pool. For the 2026 edition, the city has allocated 1,222,222 PLN.

More Funds, More Opportunities
For this year’s edition, the maximum funding limits for submitted projects are:
✅ 488,888 PLN – for a single investment project,
✅ 122,222 PLN – for a single non-investment project.

This allows residents to propose both large-scale infrastructure projects and smaller social, cultural, or educational initiatives.

BOOŚ 2026 Schedule – Key Dates
???? April 1 – May 19, 2025 – Project submission
Residents can submit their project proposals, which will then undergo an evaluation process.

???? May 20 – August 18, 2025 – Evaluation and review of submitted projects
During this period, projects will be assessed based on formal, substantive, and technical criteria. The results of this evaluation, including justifications, will be published. Applicants will have the opportunity to appeal negative decisions, and after the appeals process, a lottery will determine the order of projects on the voting list.

???? August 21 – September 15, 2025 – Voting
Residents will decide which projects will be implemented. In addition to online voting, there will be an option to vote at four designated polling stations.

???? By September 30, 2025 – Announcement of results
A list of winning projects will be published, which will then proceed to implementation.
