Creative school
This was the motto of a workshop organized by the Polish Red Cross as part of the project “Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski – miasta OdNowa” (Eng. Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski — the City Renewed) funded by the EEA Financial Mechanism 2014-2021, implemented in partnership with the Leader — Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski Municipality — project “Akademia Współczesnego Juniora” (Eng. Modern Junior Academy).
This is the first in a series of workshops for teachers and students aimed at:
— developing creativity and creative thinking,
— training in teamwork and effective communication,
— developing skills and abilities in the sciences and humanities,
— developing the ability to present own work and that of the whole team,
— improving teachers' competences in terms of innovations and creative methods
The workshop, attended by 168 teachers from Ostrowiec-based education establishments was hosted by Anna Markowicz, Deputy Director of Destination Imagination Poland Foundation. The workshop was a creative warm-up for the development of creativity in Ostrowiec-based schools. Participants learned about tools for measuring creativity, ways to stimulate cognitive curiosity, breaking down barriers to thinking and acting, and basic techniques and tools to stimulate creative thinking.
