We begin work on the development of Program Edukacyjno-Przedsiębiorczy (Eng. Educational & Entrepreneurial Program) for Ostrowiecki Integrator Edukacji i Przedsiębiorczych (Eng. Ostrowiec Integrator of Education and Entrepreneurs) and Program Rozwoju Szko

On August 18, 2022, Centrum Rozwoju Lokalnego (Eng. Center for Local Development) entered into an agreement with the Contractor selected as a result of a public procurement procedure, i.e. DS CONSULTING Sp. z o.o., for the implementation of a service to develop an Educational & Entrepreneurial Program for the Ostrowiec Integrator of Education and Entrepreneurs and School Development Program, including the performance of an educational diagnosis. The agreement was concluded within the framework of the project “Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski – City ReNEWal” benefiting from funding worth EUR 2,974,766 received from Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway under the EEA grants. The goal of the project is to plan the process of change in the education sector of Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski.

The Educational & Entrepreneurial Program for the Ostrowiec Integrator of Education and Entrepreneurs is designed to determine what functions the Integrator should perform. Based on the program, modern educational activities will be carried out in the Integrator from the moment of its creation. The School Development Program will include the vision of the educational system in Ostrowiec, based on the diagnosis of needs and expectations of students, teachers, parents, local business which is important for the commune development, taking into account the local social and economic potential. The program should indicate directions and plans for reorganization of the network of primary and secondary schools as well as kindergartens in the commune and the proposed offer of extracurricular and out-of-school activities adequate to the requirements of education and expectations of the labor market, especially those related to specializations of the city and the region.

Both documents will be preceded by the preparation of an educational diagnosis. The purpose of elaboration is to diagnose the situation of education in the Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski commune and to identify the most important challenges and potentials for its development. To prepare it, desk research analysis will be used and research will be conducted to determine the state of primary and secondary education in Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski, to identify key problems and challenges of the sector. The analysis of the foundational data will include an examination of municipal and national data and cross-sectional analyses of expectations about the competencies a school should develop in students.

On September 5, 2022, the first inauguration meeting was held with the Team responsible on the Contractor’s side for the implementation of the task. They discussed how to implement the service in accordance with the approved schedule, defined the information base that will form the basis for further analytical and diagnostic work, and agreed on the principles for involving social partners. Also the scope of social research – quantitative and qualitative – that will be carried out to prepare an educational diagnosis was presented.
