EKO-OSTROWIEC Town – Bringing Ecology to the Days of Ostrowiec

During the 2026 Days of Ostrowiec, residents could visit the EKO-OSTROWIEC Town, which on 27 June at the KSZO Stadium became a space filled with environmental inspiration, creative workshops and family entertainment. Participants could take part in “Zero Waste Eco Kitchen” workshops, learn about traditional food fermentation and discover ways to reduce food waste. The repair and renovation zone, free exchange point for used items and textile sewing and upcycling workshops also attracted considerable interest. Younger visitors could enjoy educational games, competitions, painting activities and the “Forest XXL Art” zone, as well as activities focused on trees and environmental education. The programme also included workshops on natural cosmetics, herbs and eco-friendly cleaning products, together with a performance by Katarynka Theatre featuring excerpts from the musical “Frania Recycling, Four Elements and Eco-Dancing”. The EKO-OSTROWIEC Town demonstrated that caring for the environment can be engaging, creative and accessible to everyone, while everyday choices such as reusing items and reducing waste can make a meaningful contribution to environmental protection.
