Modernised Tennis Court in the Ogrody Estate Now Open
A modernised tennis court has officially opened in the Ogrody estate, following the successful implementation of a project submitted to the Civic Budget of Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski. The project came third in last year’s public vote, receiving 769 votes, while the total cost of the investment amounted to PLN 441,000. The modernisation included a new acrylic sports surface, repairs to the fencing and gate, as well as the installation of new posts, a tennis net, benches and waste bins. The facility has also been equipped with a parabolic practice wall, allowing players to improve their skills through individual training. During the opening ceremony, Mayor Artur Łakomiec played an exhibition game with Dariusz Szczodrak of the SMECZ Tennis Association, while local residents were also keen to try out the newly renovated facility. The court, administered by the Municipal Sports and Recreation Centre, is intended for both beginners taking their first steps in tennis and more experienced players.
