A Youth City Council will be established in Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski

On May 29, 2023, The Ostrowiec Swietokrzyski City Council passed a Resolution on the establishment of the Youth City Council and the granting of its statute. The City Council approved the establishment of a commune youth council, while at the same time granting it a statute specifying, in particular, the rules of operation, the procedure and criteria for the election of its members, as well as the rules for the expiration of the mandate and removal of a member of the commune youth council. 

These requirements are outlined in the Statute of the Youth City Council of the City of Ostrowiec Swietokrzyski, which sets out the necessary rules for the operation of the Youth City Council, including:

• the tasks carried out by the Youth City Council,
• the number, procedure and criteria for the election of Councilors of the Youth City Council,
• the rights and duties of the Councilor of the Youth City Council,
• the rules for convening sessions, commissions and the election of the Presidium, 
• rules for the appointment and dismissal of the supervisor, 
• matters related to the service of the Youth City Council and reimbursement of costs of participation 
  in meetings and events.

The draft Statute of the Youth Council of the City of Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski was subjected to consultations (open meetings, collection of oral comments, collection of comments in paper and electronic form) with residents, including student governments of educational institutions from the city and non-governmental organizations operating in the municipality.
