Education for Sustainable Development – Keeping Up the Momentum

Rate 0/5

The Municipality of Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski continues to develop educational activities focused on sustainable development as part of the EKO OSTROWIEC campaign. In recent months, residents have been able to take part in radio programmes dedicated to climate change, the circular economy and everyday actions that can help protect the environment. An important part of the campaign was also a series of three “Circular Economy in the Fight Against Climate Change” workshops, attended by a total of 81 people, including local government employees, representatives of neighbourhood councils and youth leaders. Another 82 participants joined the “Zero Waste Eco Kitchen” workshops, learning about reducing food waste and preparing practical dishes using ingredients that are often discarded. The activities combine knowledge with practical experience, demonstrating that caring for the climate, reducing waste and using natural resources responsibly can become part of everyday choices. The EKO OSTROWIEC campaign forms the educational component of a project focused on the development of a selective municipal waste collection system at the PSZOK, co-financed by the European Funds for Infrastructure, Climate, Environment 2021–2027 programme.
