Fourth Edition of the Civic Budget

The fourth edition of the Civic Budget of Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski offers even greater opportunities to turn residents’ ideas into reality, with PLN 1,444,444 allocated to projects this year. Growing public interest was confirmed by last year’s edition, which attracted as many as 9,736 voters. Residents were able to submit their proposals from 1 April to 19 May, followed by a voting stage after the projects had been reviewed. This year, the maximum value of an investment project is PLN 577,777, while up to PLN 144,444 can be allocated to social, educational and cultural projects. The Civic Budget gives residents a real opportunity to participate in decisions about the city’s development and respond to the needs of the local community. As Mayor Artur Łakomiec emphasises, the initiative is not only a way to implement specific projects, but also an important tool for building an active community and strengthening dialogue between residents and local government.
