School Climate 2026 – Young People Take Action for the Climate
The 2026 edition of “School Climate”, organised by the Municipality of Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski and the Youth Council of the City in cooperation with the Ostrowiec County, provided an opportunity for environmental education and discussion about the challenges of climate change. Students from primary and secondary schools took part in workshops focused on air quality, using a specialised case equipped with sensors to carry out air-quality measurements. An important part of the initiative was also a workshop lecture on the causes and effects of climate change, addressed to the Youth Council of the City and the Youth Council of the County. The project allowed young people not only to expand their knowledge but also to better understand how everyday actions can affect the environment. As part of the initiative, students also prepared a presentation on the importance of green plants in school classrooms and how to care for them. “School Climate” demonstrated that young people are eager to actively contribute to environmental protection and help build a more aware and greener future for the city.
