Soon bilateral conference in Warsaw

Soon, on May 31 and June 1, 2022, we will participate in a bilateral conference with all Polish participants of the Local Development Program and their partners from Norway, Liechtenstein, and Iceland. During the conference the Mayor of Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski – Jarosław Gorczyński will sign a partnership agreement with the municipality of Sogndal from Norway, represented by Mr. Arnstein Menes – Mayor of Sogndal. The agreement provides for a number of activities in several areas: education, public participation, as well as environmental activities. In the former, within the framework of cooperation, educational programs for children and youth will be implemented, among others in the field of entrepreneurship, development of future competences and social activity in Ostrowiec schools, Ostrowiec Education and Entrepreneurship Integrator, while using innovative methods and tools.

In terms of public participation, standards and forms of participation and public consultation with residents will be developed. Best practices in accessibility (including architectural accessibility) and socialization of management will be implemented.

A very important element of cooperation with the Norwegian Commune of Sogndal will be the implementation of good practices in the field of ecological activities, building ecological attitudes, development of public spaces with the use of green and blue infrastructure, routes, and bicycle paths in cooperation with NGOs.
