“Academy for Young Entrepreneurs” is launched

The Inauguration Ceremony for the 2022/2023 academic year of the Academy for Young Entrepreneurs was held on December 5, 2022. On behalf of the Host – President of Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski Jarosław Górczyński, the Inauguration was opened by Vice President Dominik Smoliński. He presented the most important assumptions for the implementation of the task and pointed out the importance of educating young people about the economy and entrepreneurship. The floor was then taken by Staroste Marzena Dębniak, who thanked for the inclusion of young people studying in the public high schools in Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski in the task being carried out. Director of the Center for Local Development Agnieszka Rogalińska, who coordinates the implementation of the task, pointed out how important creative thinking, going beyond the beaten path and realizing one's dreams are in the development of young people. She also thanked the staff of the Investor and Entrepreneurship Services Department for their efforts in preparing and implementing the Academy for Young Entrepreneurs. The last to speak was Agnieszka Winiarczyk, Chancellor of the Józef Gołuchowski Academy of Applied Sciences [Akademia Nauk Stosowanych im. Józefa Gołuchowskiego], who is the Contractor of the activities to be carried out within the framework of the Academy. She assured that they will do their best to make the classes attractive to students and contribute to their development.

After speeches by the Host and invited guests, Vice President Dominik Smoliński solemnly declared the 2022/2023 academic year of the Academy for Young Entrepreneurs open. Then, together with Staroste Marzena Dębniak, he presented the students with their student books.

In the following part, the floor was taken by Dominika Lipka, project coordinator on behalf of the Academy of Applied Sciences, who briefly presented information on the workshops and lectures that will be conducted as part of the Academy for Young Entrepreneurs. After this speech, it was time to deliver the keynote lecture, titled “From startup to super-unicorn: model success of a US company using Elon Musk's SpaceX as an example”, by dr Przemysław Furgacz, PhD. It was a very interesting end to the inauguration of the Academy for Young Entrepreneurs.
